Call for Submissions
Mark Makers' Quarterly, a print journal for and about rural California's art and artists, is looking for submissions for its next issue. This quarterly magazine, based on the northern Sonoma and southern Mendocino coast, showcases artists and art from throughout California, and is available by subscription and select Northern California outlets.

Issue # 7: Feb-Mar-Apr 2026 Theme:

TIME: This could be how time is represented in your work, how your concept of time changes as you work, or how time is a factor in your process. It's an intentionally broad theme so anything goes here!
Any media is welcome. Submit three to five images, along with a brief statement (no more than 400 words) in the first person narrative that speaks to the theme, and any contact info and website / social media info that you would like included.
Artwork should be high quality images (at least 300 dpi at 8.5 x 11 size) (send as many as five, and a shot of you in your studio if you have one). In the file name for your photos, PLEASE include title of work and medium.

NOTE: Please attach your art as file attachments at full size, not embedded in the email.

Deadline for the Feb-Mar-Apr issue is Dec. 25, 2025

Issue #8: May-Jun-Jul 2026 Theme:

FIBER ARTS: This issue will be all about fiber arts, including but not limited to weaving and textiles, quilt-making, basketry, leather-works, wearable art, fabric-dyeing, embroidery, and more!

Please follow the submission guidelines above and feel free to contact Tempra Board with any questions (go to the "Contact" page). If you have work that is other than textiles, contact me for upcoming themes and deadlines.

Deadline for the Jun-Jul-Aug issue is March 25, 2026
