About MMQ
I launched Mark Makers' Quarterly in 2024 as a way to bridge my career as a creative writer and graphic designer with my love of art and art making. I want others to be inspired by the amazing artists who make their homes in the small, nature-connected, and often quirky communities across California, from the far northern coast to the southern desert, from the central valley to the eastern mountains.
I also love print, and maybe that makes me old fashioned, but MMQ is primarily a print publication, one you can slip into your bag and take to the coffee shop, or sit down with at your breakfast table. I am a graphic designer, artist, and grant writer living on the northern Sonoma Coast of California in the community of The Sea Ranch.
